It is important to remember the first burn of all candles - Allow the wax to completely melt to the edge of the jar. Timing for this will depend on the size of each jar so allow for 2 to 4 hours. Should you not allow the candle to burn properly on the first burn, it could cause the candle to “tunnel” which will burn downwards into a small hole. The wick should be trimmed to approximately 5mm before the first burn and it is important to trim the wick each time used, once cooled down. This method will help the life of your candle and provide a cleaner burn.
To prevent fire and serious injury, burn the candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep candle free of foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Never burn the candle for more than 4 hours at any one time.
